The People's Hyperbolic Gallery

The Institute For Figuring has inaugurated a
People's Hyperbolic Gallery

We invite handicrafters everywhere to take up hooks and yarn and make their own hyperbolic models. As an adjunct to our long running interest in the intersection of feminine handicraft and higher mathematics the IFF is aiming to build the world's premier collection of yarn-based hyperbolic models. Whether you make them with wool or string, with plastic or wire; whether you crochet or knit or bead them, please send us pictures of your own hyperbolic models and we will put them up in our gallery for all the web to admire.
